Sevilla reveals contact with Atlético for Negredo

    Sevilla Sporting Director, Monchi, predicted that "it will be a summer of great patience", and although the club has "clearly outlined" its top transfer targets, it is possible that players "are not signed as early as fans would like. But it's better to use the timeframe to sign the players we want", he added.
    Cádiz-born Monchi also revealed that Liverpool "has made an improved offer for Luis Alberto", the attacking midfielder who spent last season on loan at Barcelona B, before adding that "the fee is much closer" to the club's valuation.
    Sevilla President, José María del Nido, added that "the offer made for Luis Alberto is appropriate for the deal to go ahead".

The sales of Navas, Luis Alberto and Luna would mean we have no obligation to sell. Negredo will not be sold unless an offer is made which the club deems appropriate", Del Nido said.
