Silva lining for PSG

The agent of PSG defender Thiago Silva has claimed that there has been "no official contact" from Barça regarding a possible switch to the Camp Nou and insisted that the Brazilian isn't going anywhere, despite the frenzy of rumours to the contrary.
Paulo Tonietto is quoted by Sunday newspaper 'Le Journal du Dimanche' as saying that recent developments at PSG, with Laurent Blanc coming in to replace Carlo Ancelotti as first-team coach, will have no bearing on Silva's future. "He's happy in Paris and he's there to stay", said the defender's agent, before backing Laurent Blanc's credentials: "He was the France coach, so he can't be a bad choice".
Rubbishing the idea that his client would be agitating for a move, Tonietto added that Blanc is "on a par" with the other names linked with the PSG job, who included Fabio Capello, Guus Hiddink, Frank Rijkaard and André Villas-Boas.
The Italian's comments come a month after he originally denied having been approached by Barcelona and stressed that Thiago Silva's future was "at PSG", albeit acknowledging that the Brazilian would be disappointed were Ancelotti to leave.
Silva, who currently captains the Paris outfit, signed a five-year contract when he joined from Milan a year ago in a deal worth around €50 million.
