On 21st May 1933 in Madrid, Spain achieved its highest ever goal tally in the history of its 620 games: 13-0 (6-0 at halftime).

During the match, Eduardo González Valiño, 'Chacho' scored six goals, Spain's highest ever tally in one match.
David Villa seeks to emulate Miroslav Klose
Spain's top scorer (53 goals in 89 games) has the chance to increase his tally and approach Klose's 67 in 127 with Germany. The German is the all-time top scoring active player.
Torres and Villa, a hat-trick away from glory
No Spanish international has scored three or more goals in more than two matches. Villa (with hat-tricks against Azerbaijan and Russia) and Torres (against New Zealand and San Marino) have the chance of changing all that. Klose is the active player with the most hat-tricks to his name with four.

The highest ever score dates back to 1st August 1999, when Brazil beat Saudi Arabia 8-2 in Mexico.
The fastest goal ever scored was in 105 seconds
The feat was achieved by Turkish player Tuncay Sanly, in 2003 against Colombia.
